Historical Note

The first notice of an undertaking firm with the name Boyer on St. Philip Street at the corner of Claiborne appears in Gardner's New Orleans Directory for 1867.  Thereafter, city directories through 1918 reveal a number of changes in the firm's name and location.  City directories after 1918 carry no listing for the firm.
