Borrowing from Other Louisiana Libraries: LOUIS Cards

Need to Borrow from Another Louisiana Library? Get  a LOUIS Card!

UNO graduate students, staff, faculty, and undergraduates working on an honors thesis (with special permission from the Honors Dept.) may apply for a LOUIS card. LOUIS cards enable library users from across the state to borrow (mostly print) materials directly from other member libraries. 

Showing this card along with a current picture identification card will permit borrowing from participating Louisiana Academic Libraries.  Check the list of participating libraries in the form below.

FYI: Some participating libraries have extra requirements such as a credit card to borrow materials. Please check with the lending library to confirm their requirements.

Apply for your card using the form below. 

You will be sent an email when your card is ready to be picked up from the Library's Circulation Desk. Please expect two (2) business days to have your request filled.
