Federal Documents Depository Public Service Policy: Electronic Collection

The University of New Orleans Library offers the public free access to our Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) Electronic Collection. This collection includes tangible electronic products such as CD’s and DVD’s, and online federal government information This policy follows the same principle of free access that governs the
use of traditional depository materials, as provided in Section 1911 of Title 44, United States Code.

  • All of the information products in our FDLP Electronic Collection are available to any library user free of fees or other restrictions, such as age or residency status.
  • UNO students, faculty, and staff can access government information on all computers in the Library. Computers for public use are located on the 2nd floor of the Library building.
  • Information can be saved to a flash drive, burned to a CD or printed. Patrons must bring their own flash drives or CD-Rs. There is a $0.05/page charge for printing.
  • If a product is not currently loaded and/or supported on computers, we will make every effort to provide access within 2 business days.
