The Learning Commons, located in room 100 of the Earl K. Long Library, officially opened on March 10, 2009. The Library and the University Computing Center are working together to provide the technology and research assistance that students need to be successful in their studies.
The Reference Librarians, Library staff, and Reference and Technical Student Assistants provide support to students in using library research tools as well as assisting them in using the computers, software, and printing and scanning.
The Learning Commons hours are the same as the building.
Check out our public walk-up scanners. Two scanners allow you to scan to multiple formats and edit your scans on the scanner using the touchscreen interface. You can OCR your documents and even make audio files of your scanned texts! Please ask at the Reference Desk for training or learn on your own. The third scanner has flatbed and sheet feed scanning options.
Check here to see if there are available computers in the Learning Commons.
There are many ways to contact the Library for reference and research support. Please use our Ask-A-Librarian options to contact us.
