Library Laptop, Chromebook, Hotspot, and Webcam Lending: Program

Laptops and Chromebooks are available for short term checkout from the Library Services Desk. This equipment is available to currently enrolled students only. Both graduates and undergraduates may check out laptops and Chromebooks.

EQUIPMENT:

• 35 Chromebooks
• 27 Laptops
• 50 Hotspots
• 24 webcams

SOFTWARE:

Chromebooks:

• ChromeOS 

Laptops: 

• Windows 10 
• Open Office including word processing and spreadsheet software 
• Firefox web browser 

Students are allowed to install software on Library laptops. When users return laptops they will be cleared of all content and any added software in preparation for the next user.

• Respondus Laptop: 3-hours In-Library Use Only
• Respondus Laptop: Overnight checkout
• ProctorU Laptop: 3-hour In-Library Use Only

Renewals are allowed if others aren't waiting to check out the returned equipment.

OVERDUE FINES:

• $10 per day

Hotspots and Webcams

• $10 per day

RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT:

Students are financially responsible for any and all equipment checked out, including the full replacement costs of the Chromebook or laptop, and any of its accessories that are lost, stolen, or damaged.

• Replacement costs:
  • Chromebook: $250
  • Laptop: $1,100
  • Carrying case: $25
  • Hotspots: $50
  • webcams $38
• There is an additional $15 processing fee for any lost items.
• Overdue charges will be added to any replacement costs incurred.
