Other Sources for Books (beyond UNO Library)

o   WorldCat   -- This database combines contents of thousands of library catalogs, allowing you to search millions of records of books and other material.

o   Google BooksSearch the full-text of over 10 million books.  Content availability varies.

Please note that if you identify a book that is not available in the UNO Library Catalog, you may request it through Interlibrary Loan.

UNO Catalog (books available at UNO Library)

Use the UNO Library's online catalog to locate books in the library. You can use the author search or the title search to look up a specific book. You can also search by keyword to search all of the information in the catalog records, for any reference to a word or phrase, including some tables of contents.

Researchers may again pull their own books from the library shelves, but we are still offering on-shelf holds.  If you need a book that's on the shelf at the UNO Library, use the hold feature in the online catalog.  The book will be pulled for you and you will be notified when it is ready for you to pick up from the Library's 1st floor Services Desk. For additional information  follow this link.

Electronic books are also included in the catalog. You can limit your search to e-books by selecting “Electronic Book” from the “Material Type” pull-down menu. To see an e-book from the catalog, just click on the URL in the record to access an electronic version of a book (login required for off-campus access).
