Biographical Note

 

            J. Philip Preddy, who was born in Rogers, Texas on December 29, 1899, and died on February 5, 1995 in Greensboro, North Carolina.  He lived in New Orleans for forty-eight years, during which time he was associated with Krauss Department Store for forty-three years.  At Krauss, Preddy held the position of display manager.  He also created artwork for Louisiana newspapers.  An artist, Preddy painted murals of the Jordan River for the baptisteries of 155 evangelical churches throughout the United States and in Paraguay.
