The Innovation Lab, located in rooms 318 and 320 of the Earl K. Long Library, officially opened on April 14, 2016. The Lab was funded by a Louisiana Board of Regents grant written by Library, Computer Science, and Film Arts faculty. This interdisciplinary lab was designed to create workspace for online game development and to encourage students to explore new technology in a relaxed environment.
Library staff and the Library's Technology Student Assistants provide support to students in using this new technology.
Check out our 3D printer, green screen, motion capture and VR studio, and high-end computer workstations available for multimedia editing projects.
The Innovation Lab closes 30 minutes before the building closes. Room 318 is available to all students when it is not reserved for film and game development classes at various times during the fall and spring semesters. Check the Library's Programs, Events and Instruction calendar for days and times that room 318 is reserved for these classes.
