Other Sources for DVDs (beyond UNO Library)

WorldCat   -- This database combines contents of thousands of library catalogs, allowing you to search millions of records of books and other material, including DVDs.

Please note that if you identify a DVD that is not available in the UNO Library Catalog, you may request it through Interlibrary Loan.

DVDs in the UNO Library

The Library has two DVD Collections:  the SGA DVD Collection and the UNO Library DVD Collection.

The DVDs in the SGA DVD Collection are purchased for student recreational use, using student fees.  The best way to see what is available in this collection is to browse the cases on display racks in front of the elevators on the 1st floor.

The DVDs in the UNO Library DVD Collection are purchased from the Library budget in support of academic programs, including the film program.  These DVDs are kept in cabinets behind the Circulation/Reserve Desk.  You can search the Library's online catalog by title, author (director or screenwriter) or general keyword to search for specific DVDs.  Use the “material type” pull-down menu to limit your search to DVDs.  Get the DVD number from the record in the catalog and ask for that DVD number at the Public Services desk in the Library lobby.
