Has your case been digitized?

Louisiana Supreme Court Digitization Project

Thanks to generous contributions from the U.S. Department of Education, the University of New Orleans has digitized select portions of the Louisiana Supreme Court documents.

Included among the materials already digitized are:

  • Cases from between the years 1813 and 1861, originating from the Alexandria and Opelousas, and Baton Rouge circuits.
  • Cases from between the years 1813 and 1877, originating from the New Orleans circuit.

This is not a guarantee that every case from these years is digitized or available, but if you wish to inquire about scans from the 1813-1877 period, or physical holdings from the 1813-1920 period, please let us know.
