Using the UNO Film Archives: Requesting Reproductions

The Earl K. Long Library Louisiana and Special Collections Department is home to a significant amount of news footage from two local television stations, WVUE and WDSU, primarily from the late 1960s to the early 1980s.

Please contact us for more information.

How to Request Reproductions

In the interest of preserving the UNO Film Archives, all restoration and duplication of the WVUE and WDSU materials must be done by a vetted professional film studio or organization experienced in the handling of archival footage. Patrons should contact a staff member of the Louisiana and Special Collections department for more information.

The associated costs for preparing, transferring, and shipping any selected materials is solely the responsibility of the patron. Additionally, an archival copy of any transferred footage for inclusion in the UNO Film Archives should be provided to the library, also at the patron's expense. The eligibility of a suggested archival services company will be decided upon at the discretion of the Louisiana and Special Collections Department.
