Using the UNO Film Archives: Other Film Archives
The Earl K. Long Library Louisiana and Special Collections Department is home to a significant amount of news footage from two local television stations, WVUE and WDSU, primarily from the late 1960s to the early 1980s.
Louisiana State Archives
The Louisiana State Archives possess additional New Orleans news footage from WWL (Channel 4) dating back to the 1950s. Additional holdings include KLFY (Channel 10) from Lafayette and other resources that include news clips, raw footage, and commercials from sources around the state.
Portions of these holdings have been indexed and digitized. Interested researchers can search for footage within the Louisiana State Archives Multimedia Archives Database.
