InterLibrary Loan Help

The Scan on Demand service allows you to request scans of book chapters and journal articles from the library's collection of physical items. There are two ways to request scans.

1. Using One Search

If you find a book in One Search that is not available online, you can request scans of chapters from the book using the Scan on Demand link.

The Scan on Demand link will take you to ILLiad, where you will be asked to log-in to your ILLiad account (if you don't have one already, you can create one here).

After logging-in you will be taken to the Book Chapter Request form, where information about the book will already be filled out. All you have to do is let us know which chapters you need. Please take note that due to copyright limitations we are unable to supply scans of entire books.

After completing the form, submit your request and you will receive a PDF of the chapter in 1 to 2 days time.

2. Using the Library Catalog

If you are searching the library catalog and would like to request scans of a chapter or a journal article, you can use the Scan on Demand link that appears in the search results.

The Scan on Demand link will take you to ILLiad, where you be asked to log-in to your account. After logging-in you will be taken to the Book Chapter Request form, where the title and author of the publication will already be entered.

Just let us know which article or book chapter you would like to receive as a PDF. As always, you are unable to request scans of entire books or journal issues.

After you submit your request you will receive a PDF of the book chapter or journal article in 1 to 2 days.
