At UNO Library we recommend a tool called The CRAAP Test for evaluating information. Be aware that your criteria for evaluating the validity of a webpage and evaluating a research article may be different.
By the way, CRAAP stands for Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy and Purpose which are the five criteria applied in The CRAAP Test.
