Stacks Maintenance Student Worker Job Description

Duties
- Pick up, sort and arrange materials to be shelved
- Assist in the maintenance of the library collection by shelving, shifting, and straightening library materials
- Shelfread to maintain correct call number order
- Record book and periodical usage statistics
- Assist patrons in the Stacks
- Searching for missing and lost books
Requirements:
- Ability to perform detailed and accurate work
- Capable of lifting boxes of books and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling full book trucks, and bending and reaching to place books and journals on shelves ranging from 1 to 90 inches high.
- Willingness to work on other special projects when needed
